WHALE WATCHING
WHAT IS THE BEST OPTION WHEN BOOKING A TOUR?There are plenty of options to choose from when one is looking at going on a boat tour to watch the magnificent whales living along the coast of Sri Lanka. However not every boat company is a good option. Why would we say that? Well, some boat companies try to earn an extra buck by taking the guests closer to the whales which eventually disturbs the whales and there is also a chance in harming them.
The Eagle Eye group is highly recommended and they prices are very reasonable. The tour takes around 3 to 4 hours and breakfast is also included. Price per person may vary from LKR 8,000 to 11,000 depending on the season (this includes the LKR 3,000 Government Tax). You can book directly with them or we can arrange the tour for you. Tip: sometimes we are able to get a discount for our are guests but not all the time. The tour starts at 6.30 am which means you will need to leave the hostel by 5.30 am. There are buses that start from Galle to the port. Ask us which bus to take. Price per person for the bus would be around LKR 45 (one way). |
